Advice on sleeping better?
I'm having trouble falling asleep. I am wide awake until more or less twelve o'clock at night. Then, I feel so tired that I sleep until lunchtime. Do you have any advice I could use?
Thanks:)
Answer: Natural remedies include melt milk, melatonin, valerian, 5-HTP and others that you can find in a web look into for "natural sleep remedies"..
Gradually start moving your bedtime up, try an hour earlier every hours of darkness until you get to a reasonable bedtime. Don't exercise or listen to loud music for a couple of hours earlier bed, no caffeine after 2 or 3 PM. Put a fan or noise electrical device in your room, and follow a bedtime routine. Ex, take a hip bath, change into pajamas, read something boring, etc. This worked for me.
Lay in a comfortable position, eyes closed.
Imagine your toes relaxing, falling asleep, relaxing...
Move to your foot.
Legs.
Knees.
Ect.
After your whole body is relaxed, just slouch there. You will probably fall asleep. Even if you don't, you will be so relaxed that your body will be resting, sleeping, even if your concious mind isn't.
Try drinking a tea call something like 'sleepytime' (I can't remember the exact name) warm right back bed. No caffeine past lunch!
Set your alarm clock 1/2 an hour earlier respectively night, until it is set at 8 or 9 am. Getting up earlier will aid you get to sleep earlier.
If none of this works, you may want to book a check up beside your doctor..
Try doing some yoga, or some deep breathing, meditative exercises. Or try over-the counter, Melatonin, found surrounded by the vitamin aisle. Try closing your eyes and creating your dream house in your mind, pay attention to detail, mine have a grotto...lol well wht i do is i stop brething for a while and then i return with dizzy so i close my eyes and take a deep breth and withi n 5 min im sleeping.
Drink camomile tea, it will give support to calm you and make you consistency relax. Try to read a book. That might help. just close your eyes and don't spread out them
and think that your really sleepy and tired
