while giving my 20 month old a bath i notice a tick under her arm, i removed it carefully (i thought) after her hip bath i noticed that there be still a little brown spot on the bite location. Do i try to remove the head or will her body push it out on its own? if so, will it fester up?

The body will eventually reject the tick manager on its own. Don't try to pick at it with tweezers or anything you may actually explanation an infection.

Her pediatrician should also be notified that she was bitten be a tick so he/she can enjoy it in your daughter's file.

Am i getting the right amount of sleep?

If the mouth parts are still within the skin it can cause an infection.

To remove a tick:

Grasp the tick with the tweezers hugely close to the skin.

Pull with gentle, constant pressure. Pulling too firm will tear the tick and leave some at the rear.

Examine the tick to make sure all of it have been removed. Look for the tick's mouth parts to be intact.

If any of the tick is missing, seek medical attention in half a shake.

I guess you should take her to the doctors.

Numbness within my finger?

what i do is either carry a match or lighter, match preferibly because the ticks agree to their mouths close because they inhale fumes into their lungs.. i find this the safest way...but as shes 20months old, take home shure you hold her arm up(do this for next time) right now you should seize her to the doctor..asap!

Always put some concerned of oil on the tick first..baby grease works great..it greases it up so the tick can't hold on.then pull it out near the tweezers..do that and it will ensure you get the rest of it out.
