Aleve and sensitive stomach?
I have taken aleve in days gone by and it has really bothered my stomach (causing diarrhea and horrible stomach ache). Would you recommend taking something (less likely to bother my stomach) for ache and pains? I'm so afraid to take a pain reliever in a minute after this happened.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Answer: Yes, I get an ulcer from taking anti-inflammatories. All NSAIDs (including aspirin) can cause stomach problems. Tylenol does not wound the stomach. You can also try Arthotec (you need a doctor's prescription) which is a NSAID with an stabilizer to help protect the stomach..
Yes Aleve has Naproxen surrounded by it and that is known to explanation stomach problems. It is an anti-inflammatory and most of them do cause problems with the stomach. I own arthritis and they tried to prescribe them for me but I can not take many of them. I can pinch Naproxen but it has to be without the sodium. Try Percogelsic it is the strongest over the counter twinge medicine you can buy and it costs about 6.00 a bottle. My pharmacist told me give or take a few it years ago and it does work. Aleve is a great pain reliever but it gives me the worst heart burn i consistency as
though im having a heart attack. try motrin but eat something first it
works almost as virtuous, if you can go to doctor try ultram, i take that and
it is a mirale drug. at least possible for me it is. good luck
