Already posted this once in health but considered necessary to post once more for any additional responses. Thanks!...
I have a spinal tap a few days ago and had a severe headache. I go yesterday and had an epidural blood patch done. It helped my guide 100 percent. But after leaving my back hurts severely! I can only just move, get up, walk or anything in need it catching or jolting with pain. I know I own a bruise on my back but this doesn't feel resembling a bruise. The doctor gave me a prescription for pain meds that facilitate some but it still hurts. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, the doc who did my blood patch be appalled at how many times I had be "stuck" for the spinal tap and at how large the bruising be. By the way, I do not bruise easily. Any answers are appreciated!!
Answer: Something which help me (I usually get 1-2 spinal taps a year very soon..) is a epson salt bath. It run s a lot of the soreness out of it. Also if you find out who did it, be sure to add it to the documents that you DO NOT want them to perform any more spinal taps on you. I did this near two people who took over 45 minutes to actually attain it done, but I have a couple of regulars who usually are working when I go within now.. But I still have some soreness for going on for a week. Also after a spinal tap, if possible stay contained by bed at least a few hours after you get home near a cool towel or ice pack on the location. .
yes my situation was really similar. my back was sore for some time (a week or 2) it took a while to acquire back to normal. suitable luck
