Are my symptoms from sleep deprivation or Percoset?
I just got out of the hospital after staying for 8 days for 2 surgeries for my spine. (I have a cyst on my spine, if you are curious...)
I have never been competent to sleep in hospitals so by the time I got out I be suffering from massive sleep deprivation. I was even having auditory and ocular halucinations, as well as frequent micro sleeps throughout the day.
Well, concluding night I slept for about 7 hours, and the hallucination are gone. I haven't had any microsleeps today either.
BUT, my other symptoms, which I haven't mentioned however, are still just as bad... What are they? Well...
Anxiety.
Depression.
Crying at the drop of a hood.
Loss of Appetite.
Mood swings.
Poor concentration.
Is this still the sleep deprivation, or is it the Percoset? I am not in a huge amount of pain so I could probably walk without if it turns out to be the Percoset...
Please help! I am tired of opinion so awful inside!

Okay, so we answered adjectives of them, it is both, & you need to rest, do as the doctor/surgeon asks you to do, and it will take time to alleviate, maybe several months, so be patience, perchance see your PCP or a Psychatrist to give you something for nerves & or to help sleep at hours of darkness, so you can get at least 6-8 hours, especially uplifting, you will need extra rest & fluids. Take care, & if you own questions write them down at your post-op exam (I am sure is soon) ask them all, or phone call his office in the morning, enjoy the nurse call you back. Good luck, & turn get you some sleep! God Bless!
Out of the list of symptoms some nouns like they're from sleep deprivation, some from the pain and some from the percocet, they're probably adjectives exagerated by the percocet. If you don't need the percocet I'd stop taking it. It might take a few days but you'll probably inaugurate to feel better.
I would recommend phoning the surgeon tomorrow and asking about the symptoms you're have, He may feel you need some impermanent chemical assistance for your moods or have some concerns he feels should be addressed/
