Answer:    Arthoscopic surgery is a breeze. No biggie. Remember to try to stay calm the morning of the surgery. That help alot. You'll check into the hospital. They'll take your vitals, ask you some questions, and afterwards they'll have you change into a gown. You'll probablly hold to put on some ugly slipper socks too...but that's part of it. Before I budge on, I'd also suggest that you big something to wear that is comfortable, and wont be hard to go and get the operated part into. You won't be aware of like moving it much.

Then, after you change into a gown, they'll start an IV, which is pretty simple. They'll put a touraquite above the spot they want to start the IV, and next feel for blood vessels. Then surrounded by goes the needle, and that parts over. They may offer you something to help you relax, or they may not. It depends on what the anasthesiologist says.

You may enjoy to wait, that's pretty much standard, lol, so I'd also advise you bring a book to read, or something to keep hold of you occupied.

Then you'll go wager on to the pre-op area, and that's when you'll speak w. your surgeon and anasthesiologist. Let them know about your concerns, and next you'll be taken back to the OR. They will put a mask over your obverse and tell you to breath calmly and easily. You'll start to feel as if you are floating away, and things sound vastly far away. Then, you'll wake up and it'll feel similar to only a few seconds have elapsed. You're also going to have a sore throat, but that's not too bad. Reason why? They hold a tube down your throat to keep you breathing, but you wont remember them removing it afterward.

If you're in stomach-ache, let them know! Don't hold back! Ask! If after you've gotten your niggle meds, and you're still in pain, ask for more. They may hold you in the Recovery room for maybe 45 minutes, possibly longer, and then you'll be sent home with an Ice pack (they other sent me home with one...), and a presciption for pain meds.

Good luck hon, and try not to be too strung-up! (HUGSSS).
Try to calm down and relax. You will have the surgery any at an outpatient facility or in the hospital. There will be an Anesthesiologist, who will give you some medication in your veins to clear you relaxed and fall asleep. After the surgery is done, you will be in twinge. They will give you strong pain meds, so don't verbs. Most likely you will be on crutches for at least four weeks and you will possibly enjoy to go through physical therapy. Good Luck and receive sure you follow the doctor's orders! I'm also 16 and I got one and the same surgery and TOMORROW is going to be 6 months since that happened and its not that bad of an experience
I be in a lot of niggle the first 2 days after surgery but that was because I got a few things fixed, that have to do with how much pain you'll step through. But either way, rime and painkillers will make it better!
I was so panicky ! So i understand how you re feeling :)
Dont verbs, the more you worry about it the worse the experience will be
About the sedation, okay.. every body reacts different, I myself was veeery dizzy and vomited profoundly.. that wasnt pleasing, but it was just the time of surgery

GOOD LUCK! and have patience because its a process but youll be newly fine :) hope this helped!

get ably soon!.
I had that done to my knee several years ago as an out merciful.
It was not painful at adjectives. I was awake but sedated and my doctor let me scrutinize the surgery on a small TV screen. It was not a bleak experience. Don't worry.

You will be just fine. You should own gotten a pamphlet describing the
procedure. If not, call your surgeon and ask to have it explained to
you..
Arthroscopic surgery is a breeze. The sedation will get you groggy but you won't remember a thing. Take the pain meds as perscribed. They will gross you sleepy and help you to rest and take it unproblematic.
