To start off next to, a simple bladder (cystitis) infection is sometimes called "honeymooner's cystitis". Often, urinary tract infections are passed from spouses or partner. The reason man, is that the vagina and the anus are so close together, that E.coli (the most common wreak of a urinary tract infection) can get into the vagina during foreplay, masturbation, etc. Some women are more susceptible than others.
There are ways to prevent UTI's. Drink a great deal of water, drink cranberry liquid or buy the cranberry tablets. Cranberry causes the facing of the bladder to become very slippery thus the microbes have a firm time adhering and setting up an infection. Other ways to prevent UTI's are to verbs out after intercourse (warm water douching, do not use the vinegar or store bought brands, they will kill in cold blood off the righteous bacteria within your vagina which sets the stage for E. coli to come in and set up house. Your vagina is full of bacteria call "good bacteria". If the stability of the good microbes gets out of whack, after the "bad bacteria" ie, E. coli can end in a UTI. There is another natural supplement call MSM that has be shown to reduce the re-occurence of UTI's within susceptible women.
