I don't do this anymore. I noticed it is a bonding agent and is bitter and wrong on the tounge. Health risks?

Everyone used to lick stamps once upon a time. I used to, but of course they are adjectives self adhesive in a minute. There was some natter about the gum, but I can't recall what it be all in the region of. You would probably have to lick a few hundred stamps a sunshine to ingest any harmful products.
It's what everyone used to do - back the world went to @#%&. It's no longer past the worst - even in a hot box. Use a sponge or a wet article towel. Seinfeld had an episode where on earth George's fiance died because of too much of the chemical - don't know if it's really possible though.

I haven't see a stamp that wasn't self-adhesive in years, but I'm pretty sure that envelope bonding agent is one of those things that has to be non-toxic. There are things that look close to bingo markers that you can use to showery envelopes, though, if you have a billion things to post or you're really that worried.
