Knee dislocation?

About 4 months ago I dislocated my knee and hyper extended it playing football. I be forced to wear a brace and be on crutches while the doctor said I would need physical psychotherapy as well. We moved and I never get physical therapy but my dad say we can't afford it. Does anyone know some of the exercises they do during the physical therapy on those sure types of injuries? Do I need to move about and get physical dream therapy or is it something I can do on my own at home. I am a 16 year old boy living in Texas if that help any.

I'm not sure but here are some exercises that may assist increase overall stability of the knee.

Lying down bend your "Good knee" up keeping your "Bad knee" flat. buy some tie weights, only some small ones. Start small with close to 3 and slowly work your way up to 10 (if you want to move about further double up) now stressed the quad in your impossible leg while lifting it up 6 inches to a foot and holding for 3 Mississippi counts, then permit down. Do this in 3 sets of 10.

Next, using slightly smaller quantity weight pretend on your side with both legs straight and lift up up your bad leg, again 3 sets of 10.

Make sure you stretch your quad okay and do some balancing accomplishments, go out and buy or borrow a "match ball" from someone and stand on it with your fruitless leg while playing catch beside someone else, do this until your quad is fairly tired.

Use the leg press surrounded by moderation, if you have one available i.e.. I am not sure of Lbs. because the one that my PT has me use is numbered 1 and up, if it is that system try 3 or 4 beside two legs doing 3/10 (3 sets of 10) and then move it up to the subsequent number this time doing 2/10. then using with the sole purpose your bad leg but it on lvl 1 or 2, do 2/10 and consequently move up a step, do another 2/10.

Remember to take a couple minutes to rest after respectively workout.

I hope this helps, simply remember this is for overall stability of the knee and I'm not sure whether or not it will support with the problem you have.

It is always best to consult a professional on an issue close to this so you can be evaluated but if your budget cannot make room for it explicitly understandable. If your knees begins to get the impression painful or you lose confidence surrounded by your knee noticeably try and find the money to go to physical psychiatric help. Even if that means taking time stale of sports (they are fairly expensive). And if you hold insurance money shouldn't be much of a problem. Where I go for PT they don't even charge me co-pay.

actually, just middle-of-the-road activities should be adequate for you. i dislocated mine, got scoped, and be cleared for normal stuff a week after that. good luck!
