Do braces work for adults near scoliosis?
My military service took a toll on my back, the VA diagnosed my scoliosis years ago, and my backbone had only just really started to act up, stiff and bumpy. I am wondering if I should ask them about a brace to back my posture.

The trouble is the muscles are absurd because of the misalignment of the spine. It's the muscles that hurt because they are being used (and overused) within an unnatural position. Yoga can help. Svaroopa yoga is confident and gentle but can be outstandingly powerful. It may be worth checking it out. This isn't the kind of yoga where on earth you're twisted up like a pretzel though.

I enjoy scoliosis and several years ago a doctor fitted me for a brace. It was the worst article imaginable! I couldn't stand it. You might own a different outcome but it seems to me that grill, massage, and rest is much more effectual for back niggle. Gentle exercises might be recommended also to strengthen the back muscles. I'm 19 and just have my scoliosis surgery. My doctor would not brace me, because it would have done no well-mannered. Since I've pretty much stopped growing, when I took the brace off, everything would return to the bearing it was. The best entry would be for you to ask your Doctor what your options are and which would be best for you. Hope you grain better!
