Dislocating thumb!?
I injured my thumb about 3 weeks ago and dislocated it. The hospital put it contained by strapping (which i turned out to be allergic to!), they then put it surrounded by plaster for 2 weeks, which helped. I've in a minute got a splint on, but it is still dislocating from time to time and I'm putting it subsidise myself as I can't keep running to the A & E department to do it for me. It's dislocated 7 times in the 3 days earlier it was put surrounded by plaster, once when in plaster (as the plaster have come so loose it came off), and 4 times since it be put in a splint ultimate week. I've been referred to another doctor as the orthopeadic doctor thought it's a problem next to the ligaments/tendons, but I want to know what else could be causing the problem. The problem is it's my right thumb that's artificial and I'm right handed so it's cause alot of problems.

My ear has be hurting for two days - due to IPOD?
I suggest you try not to use the right thumb as much as possible. I realise this will be quite difficult as you automatically shift to use your favoured paw. Make sure you wear the splint when needed. If the problems are with your ligaments/tendons nearby will be something a doctor can do. If it gets any worse, I would shift back to A & E and see what they can do, or perchance talk to your doctor in the order of it.
Hope it gets better soon, my sister have problems so I realise how painful and annoying it can be.
