Which one is better, United Healthcare HMO or Cigna HMO if you have a chronic form condition?
Hi,
I just get a job that offer Cigna or United Healthcare HMO. My hubby has a chronic condition, but I enjoy heard mixed reviews on how they treat general public and their coverage. Any suggestions is the best for someone with a chronic condition?
Answer:
Cigna have been the best for my husband beside his ongoing chronic condition. Their mail direct pharmacy is THE best for maintaince medications.
But definately find out who have the better coverage for his condition and who will let you see specialist if his condition change, i.e. out of network/in network, and how much you have to settle up out of pocket for those visits. Also is nearby a cap on specialist vists. And is in attendance are lifetime treatment cap, i.e. $2M. If he have somthing ongoing, expensive, and not likely to be 'cured' (i.e emphysema, diabetes, etc) he may run out of benefits long back he dies.
see what your doctor and hospital take and see what it cost you out of pocket
