Why did my doctor turn down to give me affliction meds after i was sent home from my c subsection?
I was surrounded by horrific pain when she sent me home next to motrin. i could not nurse, move, thus, my healing took extra long. i call her over and over crying, and she only give me enough for in the future. she said that she had her own reason for not giving pain meds but be never clear on what they were. i be in the flotilla, no drug problems, everything was fine. so why couldnt she impart me anything better than that. i have no honourable memories like anyone else of coming home and spending time next to my family because the strain was so fruitless i could hardly stop crying or person bitchy. is it illegal not to treat headache like this, and what can i do?

Unfortunately, every doctor regardless of where on earth they practice (hospital, private practice, clinic) has the right to kind *personal* ethics decision regarding your medication.
A doctor once refuse to give me non-addictive stomach-ache medication for something because she was a pro-lifer and I couldn't remember my closing menstrual cycle. Oh yeah. No joke. Even though I clearly stated I didn't want children and would enjoy an abortion if... She wouldn't budge. That's not even my worst story.
In future situations you might want to sit down beside your doctor before surgery and ask what medication, if any, you'll be sent home with and where on earth they stand on the issue of pain medication in broad. You want someone who will meet you in the middle on the issue.
Some disagreement and some strictness is good because it keep you safe should you become addicted. You don't want someone who will endow with you anything you ask for. That's not in your best interest.

I believe that it should be illegal to rebuke a patient's plea to be treated for pain. I have a chronic discomfort problem. I have pancreatitis and neuropathy. When I have my very first acute attack, I have a Very Difficult time getting enough medication to oversee my pain. As a physician, I regularly review some questions and I required to answer because I dont think anyone have considered the point of view of the physician and some comments give or take a few pain meds from my personal practice.1. I am not sure why your physician did not hand over you pain tablets and the question can single be addressed by you and your doctor. No one on YAHOO will be capable of answer your question short guessing.
2. It has be MY PERSONAL experience that there are other two sides to every story and I bet your doctor has a apposite reason for not giving you pills.
3. Giving pain pills is a big issue for physicians for several reasons...
a. We are told consistently contained by medical school to "do no harm" and they other use the example of getting your patient addicted to affliction pills.
b. We know these medicines are addictive and it scare us because it is really hard to grasp a license and we dont want to loose it.
c. As a doctor, I can tell you that doctors resembling numbers and pain is invisible (actually subjective). If we have a test to speak, you have 9/10 affliction we'd give meds... sometimes I see an full-grown man begging for niggle meds over a splinter and sometimes I see a child with a bone sticking out who of late sits there and solitary say "ouch" if you ask.
3. It is REALLY earth-shattering to realize that our GOVERNMENT is really weak contained by health protection matters. - Get a primary care doctor who know you and they will give you niggle meds because they know you're not a drug seeker even if your surgeon refuse.
- Do not go to the ER. An ER physician will not provide you pain meds to shift home on because they will question why your doctor will not offer you pain meds. They might appointment your doctor as speak with them. Your doctor will next think you're shopping for meds.
5. Here is the bearing a non medical person might conjecture about anguish med prescriptions. Imagine its like a cell phone that costs 50 cents a minute to fashion a call and $2 for long distance. Any dr. who sends a forgiving home with a surgical incision and lacking pain meds is an insensitive joggle. You should call the hospital where on earth she practices, and speak to the Chief of Staff and Administrator. Let them know how she treated you, and sent you home without any misery relief after Surgery, short giving you a good motivation.Unfortunately, I don't think what she did is immoral, as prescription writing is at the physician's discretion. However, it does border on malpractice, if you truly were/are in a great deal of agony.
In the meantime, you might want to call her department one last time, and ask for throbbing meds and an explanation. If that fails, move about to your regular doc or ER and they will help you.

I don't grasp these kinds of doctors at adjectives, to me they are living in the dark ages and shouldn't be practicing prescription. There are alot of doctors out there who do not perscribe narcotics. Whether they enjoy had problems near the DEA previously or what, I don't know. To me there is no excuse to agree to someone be in twinge. I would report her to someone. I don't know if you'll get anywhere, man in the Navy and adjectives, but I would do it anyway. It's because you are breastfeeding and also they want to engender sure you are alert and responsive when you are at home. It's one thing within the hospital when you are being monitored 24 hours a year, but once you get home, they don't know if anyone will be nearby with you, so they don't risk it. My doctor have me alternating motrin and tylenol and I was ok.I mingy it wasn't the best, but everyone responds to pain differently. The one and only thing I could suggest is to not miss a dosage of your motrin by even a minute, so you can try to stay ahead of the spasm. Avoid stairs and try to sit or lay as much as possible if you have support at home. I didn't really hold any major agony after the first 24 hours anyway. When I did say I have pain at the hospital my doctor simply said "yeah, get used to 18 more years of it" and later ask if I wanted something stronger that would denote putting a hold on nursing. I said no and just sucked it up and deal. The nurses kept me up and moving and that alone seemed to breed a big difference-I was walking the ward near in 3 hours of surgery. And my mom is a nurse, she is freinds next to several of the nurses there so I know I be getting excellent care. I deliberate today doc's who know you want to nurse err on the side of caution. My doctor didn't want me to filch any migraine meds during pregnancy or while nursing, said to avoid pain meds as much as possible, and try to do breathing exercises to comfort with stomach-ache. I was amazed at how very well I did without those meds to tip out back on.
