The symbol used for tablets in standard is called a Caduceus. It's a snake and staff, beside the snake entwined around the staff.
The symbol used for emergency medicine (EMTs, paramedics...you see this symbol on ambulances) is call the Star Of Life. It's a 6 point star with the snake.
They are two different symbols but incredibly similar and often confused next to each other.
It's usually known as a caduceus - the staff of the messenger of the Gods, Hermes (the Greek revision of Mercury).
