Why is it that afternoon sleep is more refreshing than an overnight sleep?

i wake up from the bed - dull and tired after a night's sleep whereas after the midday sleep its full of energy and joie de vivre. why it is that?

When we hold a nap during the daylight it is usually only a short sleep. A Power Nap.

There are 4 stages of sleep.

Stage 1- is within that dozing off stage. About to progress to sleep.
Stage 2- is deep sleep. But no dreaming.
Stage 3- is REM slepp. Rapid Eye Movemnent. Or dreaming sleep.
Stage 4- Is a lighter sleep than stage 2 and 3.

When after go from one stge to the subsequent around 9 times a night.
Then theres adjectives the tosing and turning.

No wonder we are tierd when we wake up.

if your afternoon time nap works for you and get's you through the year and DOSN"T INTERUPT your proper sleep at night, consequently continue doing it.
Sometimes if we seize too tierd during the day we are too tierd to sleep at hours of darkness.

Every morning i wake up near a sore neck! make me grumpy?

From personal experience, I would say that you're not getting a perfect night's sleep because you're taking naps. It's a vicious cycle.

In the afternoon are you taking a snooze?
When you sleep you go thru REM cycles if you stir up with out completing a cycle you will have a feeling tired and groggy.
You should try to time your alarm clock for 45mn increments
You will feel suitable after 3 hours- 6hours-7 1/2 hours...etc
Experiment with your alarm clock.
Most populace will fluctuate their going to bed time, but still try to get up at like peas in a pod time.....when you go to bed set your alarm for one of the above increments...when it go off return with up....you will find you will be more awake then if you dozed for another 1/2 hour.....after a 1/2 hour you start another REM cycle if you try to get up up you'll feel groggy....
Afternoon cat nap refresh you if you again stay near in the 45mn increments....or catch up after 20 mns before you acquire into the deep quantity of a cycle which if awaken from would leave you groggy....
The solitary other thing could be where on earth you are sleeping....
Maybe you need a alien mattress and are not fully falling asleep because of that.....but when you nap you are ona comfortable couch or recliner...
Try the 45 mn increments at darkness I bet you'll notice a difference .The thorny part will be to discipline yourself to gain out of bed when you wake up vs when you enjoy to get up....
I still struggle beside this one.....I'll look at the clockand think OH upright I have another 1/2 hour until that time I have to attain up...then 1/2 hour following I wake up tired and running unpaid....
I read somewhere that the best thing a human being can do is take a hasty snooze in the afternoon....
