Is it possible to strengthen ankles?
i've rolled my ankle several times while playing football. i never sprained it so bad i couldnt meander on it, but i can definitely detail the difference. its much weaker than my other ankle and is not nearly as strong as before. is in that anything i can do to strengthen it again? oh and do ankle braces actually aid when using them for football, and other sports like that?

Purchase a theraband and use it for resistance in ankle circles, pointing and flexing your foot, and writing the alphabet works flawless too. The theraband comes in different level of resistance and they aren't too expensive (6-12 dollars). Although you're a football player, I know from experience that ballet tondues when done properly really stengthen an ankle more than other exercises.

as for strengthening your ankles, you can try spelling the alphabet in capital junk mail with your foot - that strengthens your ankle if you really work at it.
a very simple exercise to strengthen is to basically stand near a wall for match and rise on toes-maybe 2 sets of 15 per day-or as tolerated. as for braces, they do work as long as they are used correctly.
