Sprained ankle - how soon can I get pay for on the track?

On Wednesday, the girls' track team go on a recovery run. In my group, on the two-mile loop that we took, we go down a road with no shoulder. We run on the gravelly, uneven point. I slipped and basically stepped on my ankle. I get a shock of pain, it feel fine shortly thereafter, and I ran partially the way put money on. The latter half, we adjectives walked.

It's properly a mild sprain. The doctor that I saw Thursday morning said that I should be all-right-ish by Tuesday, and definitely fine by Saturday (both days are group days, Saturday being a big invitational). But I don't want to carry out of shape, even the littlest bit. I'm a hurdler, so how soon can I and should I start hurdling again? I'm shooting for Monday, or even Sunday afternoon.

(As of right immediately, the ankle hurts a little worse than it did. It's a bit swollen and a bit bruised - not too disappointingly. I've been icing for twenty-minute intervals and using an ace cold compress. And taking two Advil every five or so hours.)

linger at least a week back you do anything drastic. 2 weeks would be best though.

i sprained my ankle jumping bad a trampoline (not a bad sprain at all) but my doctor didnt do anything almost it and 2 days later i be back into sports. it eventually get better in a few days but.. 2 months subsequent my ankle was swollen the size of a tennis bubble, VERY painful (could scarcely walk and couldnt cheer-cheerleading) and i get a new doctor and he said that i did own a spain and because i didnt allow enough time for it to treat that it caused 2 inferior sprains (therefore at the time i had 3 sprained ligaments) this adjectives resulted in me quiting cheerleading for 2 months and going to physical psychiatric therapy 3 times a week for 6 weeks. i now enjoy to wear a brace while cheering and it occasionally hurts a little.

and take some advil or ibprofen to help out with the backache. once it starts to get better leisurely get subsidise into things.(dont start everything at once it is too much pressure on an ankle that just healed) similar to start running a little afterwards the next daylight run more than the day up to that time. then start doing hurdles but take heed. in the expect time. do some strenthening techniques for your ankle. (1use your big toe and spell out the junk mail by moving it around/ 2move your ankle up and down slowly and then side to side slowly./ 3try to pick up a washcloth from the ground next to your toes.)
