1st Metatarsal Injury - URGENT!!?
Hi,
I recently found a frozen lump right at the 1st metatarsal area / the Lisfrank's cohesive on my right foot (I looked it up). Sometimes it hurts to run in my cleats, sometimes it's bearable. It not long got bigger (pertruding more) but smaller amount pain. Did I fracture a bone or is it dislocated? Should I cassette the area when I am running? I usually forget about injuries (such as sprained ankles) but should I take this one seriously? What can I do on my own to dampen healing time?
please share your opinion,thanks!

Hi,
Be assured of the authenticity of my proposal as I am myself an Orthopedist.
An occasionally painful lump on a metatarsal bone, also just now increasing in size, non traumatic in origin -------- adjectives facts point towards likely hood of the lump man non innocuous!
I would sincerely advise you to pop in a nearby Orthopedist as this luggage profile does not sound as adjectives as a routine sprain. Please do not hesitate surrounded by going ahead with X streak of the region as is likely to be advise by the orthopedist.
Let us not speculate at this point of time but chances are that the swelling may be an precipitate manifestation of a tumor, although it may be benign.
This is one of those conditions where a stitch contained by time is always recommended.
Wats the origin beyond forgetting things?
Definitely take this one seriously. It could possibly be something serious. It could also be something sustained from running in the wrong shoes. Check out this article for more info: http://www.aafp.org/afp/980700ap/burroug...
