Anybody any ideas. The solder is indispensable to keep the seperate gold ingots pieces of rings together. However the solder contains cadmium. What are the possible health effects?

Cadmium-free gold solder is available. In increment, gold can be soldered near a lower-karat gold than what is individual soldered together. There is no reason to expose yourself to the strength risks of solder containing cadmium.
