i am 22 years old and i have no health insurance and a LOT of health problems. does anyone know any affordable health insurance plans that would cover pills or partial of the pills, doctor visits, or most of the doctor visit, and hospital bills. i live in new jersey

IPump.org, Inc. (www.ipump.org) offers limited reimbursement for diabetes medications, supplies, and insulin to persons who qualify under their "ERMA" (Emergency Request for Medical Assistance) program. They also offer limited monthly financial assistance to qualifying persons to help cover the cost of insulin, diabetes medications and supplies. Persons may only receive financial assistance through one program and no more than once per year. Under their "REDS" program eligible persons may receive certain free diabetes and insulin pump supplies. Good luck finding affordable coverage in this state. Apply for Medicaid, as soon as possible. Then go online and search for pharmaceutical assistance programs (I know of the one available here for senior citizens...).Also - Wal-Mart (evil, though it is) offers some pretty steep discounts on meds.
Most hospitals in the state also offer a free clinic program. It's usually held one or two days per week, and you can probably get free meds for any health problems there. Contact your local office of health and human services for info on that.

There are programs through the state which usually require alot of time and effort, but you could get help. Also, I know a few people have gotten on the prescription plan through montel williams. I belive the name is PPA, not positive on that. I know there is help but i do not live in the same state, so our guidlines are a little diffrent. BUt look into these few ideas i think you will find help. If you can not find the montel williams program watch lifetime at night it avertises all the time or try his web site. Hope this helps.

Hi there,I am sorry to hear of your health problems. Unfortunately, many insurance companies won't insure whatever is pre-existing... or... they'll offer insurance at a high rate, but won't cover anything pre-existing. I know, I'm one of them! I did a lot of research. I did find something that does offer financial relief for prescriptions, doctor visits, and there's a hospital advocacy program through the Karis Group. You can have access to the discounts immediately. I have it.
