I have a sharp agony on my lower back, right at the top of my hindmost side should i be worried ?

Could be a prolapsed lumbar disc (the squishy cushion between the vertebrae protruding a bit and getting trapped). If you get a strain which travels across your lower bum and down your leg - that is sciatica cause by pressure on or inflammation of the sciatic nerve (it's the longest cheek in your body).
Use paracetamol (or aspirin if you can rob it - quicker at reducing inflammation), rest as much as possible, get your best beloved to rub the afflicted nouns with anti-inflammatory creams from pharmacy (might not cure it but own fun trying!) and make an appointment beside your doc to get it confirmed.
If he say it's a prolapsed disc, you may need some lend a hand from a physical terrorist. Waiting times NHS are inclined to be lengthy but sports injuries clinics are fabulous if you can afford it.

It could be sciatica. I get that. It starts surrounded by the lower back and run along the sciatic resolve down the back of the leg.What do you do when you blow your snout and black stuff comes out?
Did you do something to cause this affliction? Jump off something and house on your tail bone, for example?Did you stumble a little bit and pulled a muscle?
There are lots of possibilities. All require a drop by to the doctor. In the meantime, get an rime pack and put it on the spot for 10 minutes or however long you can stand it.

I would suggest you stir and see your doctor. That way you will gain a better answer than everyone here guessing. No offence is intended to anyone, but a doctor would be your best bet.I have have trouble with my pay for for 3 years now,it vary in the parts of the subsidise,sometimes the pain is as you describe.After lots tests they said that i hold a fractured vertebrae but there is zilch they can do about it,i newly have to hang about for it to heal.The niggle is constant and sometimes excruciating,they did think it be sciatica at first which of course within a way it be,the fracture was cause the pressure on the nerves.In your case it may be a slipped disc cause the pressure but you need scan to determine exactly what the problem is,don't wait for it to bring any worse.Good luck.
It might be a broken or misplaced disk. My sister has two disks that shifted and she's within pain adjectives the time. Go see a doctor and ask him/her if a backbrace would help.
