Hit forehead...should I see a doctor?
I hit my forehead really hard on the corner of an start on car door. Within second, I developed a HUGE egg shaped bump but no dizziness or vomiting. It has be 5 days now and the swelling have gone down tremendously. There is slight bruising which leads me to believe it is remedial. I have experienced headache since the injury and occassionaly feel tired and nausias. Should I be concerned? I be told to see a neurologist to make sure everything is OK but I do not enjoy health insurance and the stop by would probably cost a fortune once x-rays are taken. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Answer:
5 days out & you are doing better probably indicates no serious defacement (which would be bleeding within the brain); but if things money you need to move about to an ER. A mild concussion (which is just a sorta brain bruise) will alleviate on its own without anything to do for it--just inspection for the first 48 hours. Signs that things are worse include: visual change, gait problems, projectile vomiting, stupor to unconsciousness, character changes, worst headache of duration, stiffening neck etc. IN that suitcase don't even think going on for health insurance but travel to ER. Xrays of head injuries are no longer taken--you would receive a CT or an MRI.
Yes, see a Physician for a diagnosis.
Help plz...i feel misery in my bone between breast.?
I'd jump see a doc. It's not like it be your foot or something. It's your head! Lot's of defining stuff in in that.As long as the symptoms are diminishing I would not travel to the doctor. The Doctor would order at lowest a CT and possibly a MRI. Without insurance you are looking at about $2000 in attendance alone. As long as the swelling is going down AND the color of the bruising is starting to fade then do not verbs. If your vision become blurred or if you start noticing mood change then you will obligation to go.
No, if you don't hold the luxury of health insurance I would strongly recommend not going to a doctor. They're merely going to charge you too much money to tell you you're of late fine and that you got a mild concusion. You'll be fine, you we're probably emotion bad because the swelling creating increased pressure on your temporal lobe giving you headache and nausia. If it continues to bother you in a week, then i would suggest seeing someone, or researching on the internet 'prolongued concusions' or something along the lines of that.
