What helps prevent surgical scar?
I had some foremost reconstructive surgery on my hand. Fused wrist. 4 simulated finger joints (all the first knuckles). Fused thumb combined. There were 30 stitches total.
The stitches are out, and the skin is starting to look more and more everyday with sunken lines at the incisions.
I know that no business what, there will probably be some scarring, but what can I do to facilitate prevent it?

Massage near Vitamin E oil twice a daytime. Try a silicone scar product that cosmetic surgeon's recommend resembling Cimeosil. Otherwise also try Mederma which you can find at the pharmacy.
You can try applying Vitamin E grease to the scars twice a afternoon. That might help a bit.

Mederma is supposed to relief reduce scarring. It costs around $10 at Walmart for a small tube. I used this, but I really dont know if it's working because my scars are still extraordinarily visable from a surgery done a few months ago.My dermatologist swears by it that it works though.
Try using Merderma or vitamin E grease. If you are not prone to getting keloids (this is a really thick scar), later your scar will abate visible over time instinctively.
