Has anyone taken Wellbutrin XL and have problems going to sleep or staying asleep?
I am happy beside the drug except for this side effect. I was wondering if it would jump away over time? I have solely been taking it for 3 months.
Answer:
I've be taking Wellbutrin XL since March, so for about 3 months presently too, and I just visit my psychiatrist today, and the drug seems to be helping me next to my depression, but the only point it doesn't really help near is sleep. He asked me if I'm still having trouble sleeping, and I told him that although I'm fear better about things, I still can't slump asleep until at least 2:30 at hours of darkness. He told me that this is one thing that Wellbutrin really won't adjust or help out with, but that even though my sleep problem hasn't decrease, at least it hasn't worsened the problem. It has help in one method though in that I used to frequently get up up every few hours after I finally went to sleep, but since my medication, I haven't have such a problem with that. I'm competent to stay asleep until the morning. But yeah, I'm still having some insomnia while on the drug, and I'm passion that it won't improve anymore until my actual depression condition improve.
By the way, I regard as it also depends on the dosage of Wellbutrin that you're taking. I take a smaller dosage of 150 mg per daytime, and for now, he think its best not to increase it. I'm sure if I were taking a complex dosage, I would have more problems next to sleep, and maybe you're taking more than I do.
Good luck beside everything! :)
I own not taken it but my husband was on it to try to quit smoking but he couldn't trickle asleep with it. When he did finally be in motion to sleep he couldn't stay asleep. He said he hated the inkling of this drug.
I be on Wellbutrin for a while but I quit. I had problems staying asleep, have really bizarre dreams and was unsettled all the time - and I be on the lowest possible dosage. The only proposal my doctor would give be to take the pill at a different time of hours of daylight in an attempt to minimize the side effects, but that didn't minister to. I was on it for nearly 3-4 months, like you, and at that point I couldn't stand the side effects any more.
