If you have severe Migraines to the piont you can't work or are missing work can you seize disability?
My mom has severe migraines to the piont that she is missing work and might lose her living but she has them similar to every week and if she can't work we don't know what to do. Someone suggested That she get disability. I needed to know if you could get disability next to severe migraines.

She is prime candidate for disability, because it keep her from being competent to work. So, have your mom see her doctor, & report the doctor what her plans are. Next, she needs to contact the SS department & ask them how to get the globe rolling, so that she can apply for disability. In some cases, it's best to hire a lawyer who specializes surrounded by disabilities. They'll go to bat for your mom. Tell your mom to save any & all adjectives paperwork that pertains to applying for disabilty, so she has a journal of everything. Your mom will need library from her doctor, that deals beside her migraines, etc. Social Security will also send her to a doctor or two of their own choice, but this is standard procedure, so she desires to do as they ask. It's not uncommon for your mom to be turned down for disablity, once, twice, or more, but she have to keep conflict for it until she gets it. I know of not a soul who gets approved the first time around, so she shouldn't achieve discouraged & that's why it'd be in her best interest to hire a legal representative to handle her valise. Once your mom is approved for disabilty, she will then know how to receive Medicare & Medicaid. She'll also be eligible for the food card too, which looks like a credit card. She'll attend a class, showing her how the card works. It really help to be able to buy food near that card each month. It is statistically proven that people that apply for disability next to mental issues get approved faster than those near health problems. My aunt died of cancer. She be approved 2 weeks before endorsement. She had wait 1 year for this approval. Also, your mother has worked, she will be rewarded based on her income. Social Security Disability is different from Social Security Income which is the program that also provides food stamps and other help out. She most likely WILL NOT qualify for those programs. She will bring back a check based on what she have paid into Social Security but nil over the Family Cap which can be found on the Social Security website.
She can go to the doctor, keep hold of all documentation but they are still going to dispatch her to their own doctors and it is best to start out with a Social Security attorney that will request a portion of the benefit amount and not a bit money up front.
