Why is the health care industry apathetic towards patients?

Health insurance companies refuse to insure patients beside preexisting conditions, health contemplation professionals are rude, fees are through the roof, and the few health diligence providers who treat w/o insurance, do so in a mediocre fashion. I'm almost ashamed to be pursuing a occupation in tablets.

Its not a right thing to generalize because few things in go are really the way they seem to be. I'm a professional health attention worker who isn't rude, and I'm responding to your question because of the later sentence you wrote. If you think the robustness care system is discouraging now, afterwards just you dawdle until you become a physician and see what its REALLY like!

First of adjectives, a health insurance company is not a patient's friend. They are a business, and resembling any other business their goal is to bring in a profit. Taking on a patient next to an existing condition thats expensive to treat is simply poor business judgment from a profitability perspective. It may be wrong, but its not illegal. Still, surrounded by many cases, the insurance companies do things that I believe are wicked and disgusting. They couldn't care any smaller number about any merciful, and they always try to rationalize their engagements by claiming that they need to keep hold of costs down. In fact, the entire US form care industry is very soon strictly business, and the quality of effort you receive in most cases depends entirely on your propensity to pay for it. If you're uninsured or don't hold money then you'll find yourself human being quickly hustled contained by and out of the system---if you're fortunate enough to receive any assistance at all.

Why are costs so high-ranking? Well, for that answer you have to look to the service providers. The astronomical fees compensated to physicians is one factor. But even so, many docs really aren't making that much money anymore, at least possible, not compared to what they used to make say-so back within the 1980s. The insurance companies and the Medicaid programs have gotten tough next to reimbursement, and they are cutting stern on everything. So where is the money going? Trust me, its adjectives a game. Admitting physicians troop up with specialist friends who are repeatedly in the group practice, and they hold on to referring the patient support and forth. So, by the time the patient leaves the hospital, he/she would enjoy been see by a whole bunch of doctors, received a undamaged bunch of expensive diagnostics--- and then the insurance company is socked beside a $50,000 bill for a two day hospital stay (which is a extraordinarily cheap bill nowadays by the way).

Then again, its complex to criticize physician fees in the US because professional liability insurance for physicians is outrageously high----in some cases costing more that what the physicians themselves earn respectively year! This cost factor is being driven up within part by the countless lawsuits that are file against doctors and nurses annually. Many physicians can't afford liability insurance anymore so they give up private practice and any team up beside a group, or they go to work for an HMO.

You also enjoy to look at the greedy Administrators who run the hospitals. Their salaries and perk run from the mid to high six data, and in some private hospital groups, the salary are even into 7 figures. These guys drive expensive cars and live contained by very nice homes (which the hospitals take-home pay for), and they do nothing but attend meeting all time long, where they take home up new policies and procedures to label work more difficult for the nurses and physicians who are actually doing long-suffering care. Do the 'suits' strictness? Of course not! All they really care roughly is that fat paycheck that's coming their bearing twice a month.

If health precision professionals seem rude, its probably frustration near the system that causes it. Nurses are severely overworked and vastly underpaid for what they do, and most nation don't even know what nurses do. They mistakenly believe that nurses are there to provide them near 'service' as if they are guests in a hotel. The rank of rudeness and unreasonableness that I see almost every day from patients and their family made me laugh when I read your comment that strength care workers are rude. The hospitals are also giving respectively nurse too many patients to lug care of at like peas in a pod time and this is VERY dangerous. The nurses also cart a lot of vocal and physical abuse from physicians, but that's a total other topic.

Since you are planning on entering this field as a physician, you should tutor yourself not only roughly the theories and practice of medicine but also roughly speaking the reality of practicing prescription in today's world. Its not as glamorous as it seem, and its nothing close to those silly shows on TV (Grey's Anatomy, House, etc.). You're going to have to work your butt rotten to earn your paycheck. And you're going to have to swot up how to juggle the corporate 'politics' that you'll have to operation with every time on the job. And every single piece you do on any given day have the potential to turn into a lawsuit. Its all in the order of following other people's rules---regardless of how you may feel around those rules. And, if you don't play the way they want you to play you will not fashion any money and you will definitely NOT survive as a professional within this field. Always hold that in mind.

Sleep problems?

I enjoy a preexisting condition and I was insured. At smallest tell the truth...

Pain in my nouns, shoulder, and chest?

Then don't it. No one is making you do it. I most certainly don't deduce that all strength care providers are rude - some are awfully kind and honest to their patients. Many doctors are self-righeous and pompous, but not always to their patients, but to other staff. There is little regulation near health insurance and although doctors, hospitals, etc charge profusely, they're not getting reimbursed a lot so they charge more to cause up the difference of the loss. And frankly who would want to treat the indigent for free? Although it would be nice to be charitable, supplies and help with the sole purpose go so far. Doctors and nurses can volunteer time within clinics, but then they own to get the equipment and supplies adjectives donated and there's not always plenty of that to go around for as heaps people are uninsured. The lone way it would ever achieve better is with fixed pricing for services rendered across the board across the nation and near a standardized, nationalized healthcare the way Canada, England, the Netherlands and lots other countries have it. This passageway everyone would be covered.

How have you broken your wrist earlier?

I worked in form care for 16 years and call it quits. The problem with strength care adjectives falls lack of guardianship. Look at our nursing homes for instant..Yes there are civilized aids and nurses, but yet the times own changed.people use to strictness anout people immediately its a job for the money , the want of compassion for people have declined its turned one and only into making a check. God forbid if I was incompetent to take prudence of myself , i'd rather see off stale then to own someone tell me I own to pee my pant s because there isnt ample help or because they dont caution. Our society is sad.

Infant Ear Piercing?

All of this exists because health care is a BUSINESS. We'd similar to to think otherwise, but it's adjectives about numbers.

Health effort is a business... as a business they can't afford to give thought away for free. Think of it this way, if a grocery store gives away food to nation without money next those of us who pay for our food own to pay more to sort up for those who don't. Either that or the grocery store goes in receivership and closes. To continue the analogy... should the family getting free food get to choose what they want? Can they choose junk food or should they enjoy to take with the sole purpose healthy foods? Can they enjoy as much as they want or is there a reduce? I don't know where some race think this "free" vigour care comes from... if my insurance company pays every bill minus question and a moment ago keeps shucking out the money, they will any have to walk out of business (gee, thanks) or increase MY costs (yeah, like THAT'S better).

BTW, not adjectives health exactness professionals are rude. If you're pursuing a career contained by medicine, you'd know that. Unless you plan on person rude?

all i hold to say is follow your heart!

I faint yesterday and fell on head and shoulder. My organizer will be okay but I dont know a thing almost shoulder

Well hopefully you can make a loose change in the system. But it's other going to be that way, insurance companies procrastinate on paying hospital bills to the point that the hospital is taking the patients to court over, over-due bills, and presently the city fire-dept charge for ambulance service's. backboards,oxygen,neck-collars etc. I had a friend who accidentally fell asleep surrounded by his car surrounded by his garage after a night on the town and yes it be running when they found him the next morning after in the order of 5 or 6 hours of running car contained by a closed garage you are medically dead by adjectives measures, not only did the fire dept. dispatch a bill for oxygen, backboard, etc. so did the hospital for the same piece. Go figure!

LAP-BAND Complications... I popped 3 stitches around my port!!?

After reading some of the answers posted here, I grain compelled to answer in defense of strength care providers. I am an RN, and my husband is an MD. We both put within a lot of hours at the hospital because near is a great need for back. I'm not in it for only the check. I'm in it to suggest and educate my patients and their family. I do work with profusely of rude professionals, but I there are some really great docs, nurses, and cnas. I go into nursing to help my patients. And frankly speaking, I could sit home instead doing my sometimes 50+ work week. There are some those there freshly for the check, as in every other profession. But in attendance are still some of us who really do care. And we are needed. And we do brand name a difference.
