Does anyone know of a compression stocking (anti-dvt) that solely goes from ankle to knees? (No foot part)?
I hate the bit that wraps around the foot. Gets tight and makes the foot hurt. Just looking for knees down to ankle, but can not seem to find one.
Answer:
My vanished calf "heats" up occasionally, what's up with that?
There are some that travel from knee to mid foot. The toes are spread out. If the foot part is too tight next you might need a larger size. You obligation one that has some slice around the foot to keep the stocking from rolling up thereby have a rubber band effect and that's not obedient. There is a catalog that I use called Foot Smart. They hold every kind of product you can estimate of for the feet and legs. I'm sure they hold a web site I newly don't know the exact address. You could try footsmart.com for starters. Good luck!
In common, compression stockings apply pressure to a large surface nouns. If you apply pressure to the calf only, after fluid can retain in the foot...like a tourniquet. I hold never seen these and would not recommend it for generalized edema. Connie
