Backpackers: What is the best Poinson Ivy (Oak, Sumac) treatment for removal of the toxin?
I have Calomine lotion for the aftermath, but own also been looking for something to use immediatly to mute the outbreak. There are some wipes that looked handy, 6 wipe for $10 isnt too bad any. However, they will produce lots of trash.
Most of the other options require marine and we're going to have to pack surrounded by all our sea. Any suggestions for what is effective, but also packable and adjectives with minimal hose down? Price is also a factor.
Do these really work any better than soaking with rubbing alcohol?

you cant win rid of it once you have it. and unlike almost everyone say it doesnt spread from scratching, and it isnt contagious. The oil on your shoes/clothes could still spread it so wash those. In the denote time take a hip bath with oatmeal contained by it, and afterward apply a topical medicine. If it is solid bad turn see the doc. you might need steroids, depending on where on earth it is also. good luck. the itching will consent to up in a few days.Has anyone tried hypnothesis to quit smoking ? does it work ? thank you?

Your opinions in relation to Litthmann Stethoscope?
In those plants, what causes the itch is topical. Usually the best available first aid is wash with dampen. Even use something like Dr. Bronner's soap newly to remove the oils that are cause the irritation. Other treatments that you can buy at the store just channel you have to pocket it in the pack beside you, and ultimately back out if you don't burn it. You enjoy to come to a balance of what you're inclined to take within the pack vs the benefits of bringing it.If you wash thoroughly right away after exposure, you should be okay. Of course, bath carefully that you don't spread the oil in other parts of your body or rubbish any water since you're aphorism you're packing water which suggests in that is no water at your destination.
Water = Free (sort of), you don't own to pack it out.
Ointments = $$$, you have to pack it surrounded by and out.
I don't know about the rubbing alcohol constituent. Unless the alcohol neutralizes the grease, the first thing you must do is remove the plant's grease from your body.

Aveno soap or a short time ago oatmeal . It will dry it out faster . Just use enough hose to make a attach and let it dry out . It still take time but it is faster .Echinacea Topically
Extracts from Echinacea can be used for the prevention and treatment of skin photodamage. Echinacea creams and ointments are available at inbred food stores, or you can make a poultice from powdered cosmetic clay and Echinacea tincture. Mix until it's clay-like, after apply it to boils, poison oak, or insect bites.
Have essential oil lavender on hand also. Works as a insect repellant as powerfully as takes the histamine out of bites efficient!
