Any health pros out near? My Mom passed away in March due to neglegence at the nursing home.?
She have pneumonia, a severe uti, and her blood was beyond too limited. They didn't give her the antibiotics that be prescribed by the doctor.
Anyhow, she was on blood thinners due to have had 4 strokes contained by the past. However, she wasn't intake that last week and they give her an I.V. Does that have any affect on the blood thinner or be they giving her too much blood thinnner and not checking it? When she got to the hospital the doctor said she may hold bled to death from newly a scratch. Her blood be something like 8 times as dilute as normal.
Does anyone own any information on this?

You need to hold a chat to the doctors/nursing home staff who were dealing next to your mother. There may have be a reason why she wasn't given the antibiotics - it may not hold been negligence. You own a right to have some answers relating to your mother's destruction, her health beforehand and her treatment - it will also give support to with your grieving. If near has be any ill-treatment, get yourself a attorney and get it sorted - but brand name sure you are okay emotionally before going through this. Stay strong - you'll return with through it!!
First of all I'm so sorry roughly speaking your mother. Your first step would be to see why her antibiotics were not administered. Were the antibiotics to be given in words and she wasnt taking them because she wasnt eating? As far as her blood anyone too thin, her doctor should own been doing checks at least possible every two weeks or even more to see what her INR was (this is the testing that tells how thick/thin your blood is). I would be sure to do some enquiring not only next to the nursing home but with your mothers doctor.

Sorry give or take a few your mom. Nursing homes are never anyone's preferred place to be and sometimes things do get missed ill-fatedly also. You should be able to bring the doctor's chart and the home's nursing chart and you may find some answers.My experience lately with my dad and the hospital even showed abundant communication breaks between the doctor and the hospital, so I'd look at the charts. It could be the doctor said he was going to impart antibiotics but they weren't ordered and/or delivered. I have to watch and push for my dad's regular pills at the hospital every time. You would think after dealing beside the nurse and pharmacist one day you wouldn't hold to go through it again the subsequent but I found I had to survey and ask about every pill - and this be a hospital!
Blood thinner is it's own nightmare for many. I've be on it for 12 years and dad the last 6 months. There are lots of things that can coppers the dosage. Eating changes are a big one, so going from solid food to an IV probably did have some effect. However the doctor I have an idea that would have have to sign off on the IV and he is the one that would own to check the blood thinner level. At least possible I don't know of any nursing homes that have equipment to do it, although in a minute that they are coming out with a home monitor it might be a nice thought for nursing homes to look into. Again though they would not be able to changeover the dosage without the doctor's directions. Don't take the comment just about bleeding to death from a mark to the extreme because it is that way for anyone on blood thinners merely maybe somewhat faster if extra thin.
Do the research but I'm guessing if you can find the holes it will be communication between the doctor and nursing home.
