Operation for patella dislocation?
I dislocated my patella a year ago, which has since become reccurant.
Originally, it be put in a classify for six weeks.
I've been have physiotherapy for it since September.
However, it is still not back to typical.
I have be told there is a possibility that an operation shall be required.
What operation could be carried out? Thanks
Answer:
It is called a lateral release where on earth the soft tissue structures on the outside of the knee trilby is cut to allow proper tracking of the knee bonnet and to prevent those structures from pulling the knee trilby outward. The surgery is arthroscopic meaning they generate small incisions to put a camera and surgeons tools through and do the surgery without a considerable incision to expose the area. The rehab take 3-4 months, but usually there is a fitting outcome if you put a lot of energy into the rehab
My joints are other sore right before it rain? What kind of arthritis do I enjoy?
My daughter had indistinguishable problem. She had whats call a lateral release. Basically the outside muscle was cut to avoid it pulling the kneecap stale. It was get underway surgery then (13 yrs ago), but is probably done in a minute through a scope. She be NWB for afew weeks and then PWB for afew weeks. It turned out great for her. She hasn't have any problems with that knees at all
