What does it show when a doctor calls within a "marker" in regard to another doctor?
I heard it when a gastroenterologist referred a forgiving to a rheumatologist. The gastroenterologist said that he had see some of the rheumatologist's patients when he asked him to, so he (the gastroenterologist) was calling in a "marker" on the rheumatologist. Then when I hear the nurse call the rheumatologist's department to make an appt, she said that Dr "Gastroenterologist" be calling in a marker for Dr "Rheumatologist".
Answer:
What is this fire anguish in my right ear and on the right side of my person in charge?
Calling in a marker manner calling someone who owes you a favor. A "marker" is the term used for the slip of rag people get when they bet the numbers, an old illicit gambling activity.
In this case it is probably easier said than done to get into see that doctor or one from that specialty so the other doctor is going to ask someone to return a favor.
