I have just such a crash about a year ago and it wound up that my coccyx be indeed fractured. I waited three days until that time seeing a doctor and the pain be no better. There's not a lot you can do for the destruction, just time will alleviate it, but the doc had me give somebody a lift ibuprofen for the pain, he said that would also promote soothing. It helped the anguish a lot but it took nearly 3 months before it stopped painful completely. Oh, yes, and don't do any heavy lifting or straining yourself!
