Accident at home...need guidance?
My fiance tripped on a magazing today and we are almost positive that he either fractured the division of his wrist right below the thumb or tore a ligament.... So what I was wondering is what can we find around the house to out of harm`s way it and what kind of medication can he take to at smallest ease the aching for the next 4 hours..
Answer:
Migraine, recoil or tension headache?
in actuality you could splint his wrist with the magazine itself... curl it uparound the wrist so he cant bend it next tape it around carefully. You could use a couple wooden spoons from the kitchen with cassette. or take a sleeping pillow and wrap it around the arm BUT it will be awfully bulky! It will protect it from bumps and more throbbing though. You need to enjoy him go take it looked at so it can be splinted properly or casted. hope this helps... biddable luck!

Ice it and rob some advil (4 advil = 1 prescription strength Motrin 800). Be creative making a splint if you don't have the appropriate first aid supplies - you can use anything intricate for a splint (wooden spoons, rulers, any leftover wood you may hold in your garage from home repair projects, even a remote control! Just enjoy it long enough to stop the wrist so he can't bend it (about the length of a remote control is more than sufficient). Tie it within place with rope, socks, panty hose, duct video, etc... If you don't want to run to the hospitals emergency room (who wants to sit contained by one of those for a few hours) check to see if you have a "walk-in" or emergent safekeeping office not attachd to the hospital - they typically open out earlier than your regular MDs department and will probably not be as busy as the emergency room - plus they usually treat injuries ahead of people near the sniffles! Good luckIs there a honest home remedy for fixing shin splints?

Has anyone had experience beside a broken fibula that won't heal?
Go to a Doctor. If he doesn't own one go to the ER, you have need of an x-ray of that wrist, there could be wounded and if not treated correctly, eternal damage. Tylenol will work for the headache, if it doesn't go to the ER, don't double dose medication, there is a point they give you directions. Overdosing on Ibuprofin can bring severe stomach problems.
