Between january and mid april, i smoked close to 300 cigarettes and in a minute ive quit. but im awfully worried?

i see white spots on stretching my lips, though they could be sebaceous spots. i have a predisposition to be paranoid about these things and ive observed that ive actually have symptoms of stuff i fear but nothing in fact happens. still, im worried. can two and a half months of smoking , that too 3-6 cigarettes a time give me oral cancer? or throat? im planning to go see my dentist, though my mum isnt letting me shift. says there's nothing wrong beside my lips. either my mouth hurt, or im imagining it. i keep imagine my cheek has thickened, etc etc. roughly all ive read about the symptoms. i cant gain to sleep. help.

You should go to your doctor. You can have anything similar to oral cancer or it could be nothing, but it's better to find out soon so they can do something about it. don't listen to your mom, of late go it's your body and you know if something is wrong

Smoking tobacco products damages you at the DNA level, which usually brings on cancer years after starting (15+ for some, as you would expect it varies), it is possible you will get cancer at a later age so I strongly recommend getting checked for it at smallest once a year

Tell your mom that you just want to make sure your okay. Visit your doctor and/or dentist, and they will put in the picture you all the information you want answered!

Feeling pain around the lips, gums, teeth, tongue and mouth (and everything else within the oral cavity) after quitting smoking is normal. Because your body was dependent on Nicotine, the cell (of your gums & lips) are too, being used to having nicotine each day. So when you quit, they react to that sudden change by bleeding, or individual irritable. In a way, it's thanking you =)

3-6 cigarettes a sunshine for 3 months is unlikely to get u cancer (it could be, but very unlikely). But you've done yourself a great wish by quitting =) Congrats!
