Black Poop?
Hey everyone, for about a week now my poop have been very muddy..almost black (tar looking). I haven't had any pepto at all, but I enjoy been taking "hair, skin, and nail" vitamins for a few months. These pills do own iron in them, but I didn't think it be too much, because my poop has been pretty usual up until about a week ago. I've read several different postings of this same question, but none have answered mine. Why is my poop black? Is the vitamins I'm taking doing this, or is it more serious than that? Someone please help!

Stool turns black for two different reasons:1) iron consumption
2) internal bleeding. HOWEVER, at hand would be other symptoms to the internal bleeding and they would include extreme fatigue, change in mental status, pastiness and pallor, a history of gastrointestinal problems such as cancer and of course age. I'm going to make a bet that your issue is the vitamins. Additionally, black stools that result from internal hemorrhaging enjoy a distinct odor to them and often look like coffee grounds. Stop the vitamins for 72hours and see what happen.

You should go to the doctor and make sure it isnt blood as that will turn it black and especially if you obtain tired easily or weak stir to the er.give it another week, then christen the doctor, chances are it is just a small bodily aversion. probably from something you ate
i would see ur doctor when mien was black it was blood from my apendax(i know its spelled wrong sorry) burst and i walk around a week with it that way

iron does it so if theres iron within those tabs the small doses have in a minute all topped up your iron count and this is the result.Blood surrounded by the urine? guys oblige... Ladies warmth too?
stop shrooming you hippy...nah jk but when i shroom i have ashen and red poop and sometimes black when i eat caps single.it is probably the vitamins i guess. go search it on google, adjectives i can say
