Bloodwork and fast give a hand please?
I have to get bloodwork done and I know that you are supposed to efficient for 12 hours before. I was wondering if I am allowed to enjoy a glass of water or will that effect it? I know it seem a little ridiculous to be asking, but I just want to breed sure.
Answer: You don't have to be fasting for adjectives blood tests. Only those checking your glucose or lipids (cholesterol). You can drink anything as long as it doesn't have calories. For instance you can hold diet soda as long as the calories are zero, black coffee or coffee with sweetner, not sugar and tea as capably as long as you sweeten it with sweetner instead of sugar. Do not use creamers as they contain calories. If you can manage to find food beside no calories eat it, but I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as food near no calories since that's the point of food. Go ahead drink away. This hydrates the veins making them easier to locate for the procedure.
