I moved a heavy mattress from side to side in my sons room in the region of an hour before my hands started to tingle.I can remember thinking...boy, I better whip some advil, I am going to have back strain later from this..could moving a heavy mattress around a room effect my hands to start tingling about an hour latter?
Thanks for your input.they have never really tingled like this until that time...

Stress injury most likely. Take some Advil and if it doesn't stop by tomorrow, call a doctor and bring back them to check your hands out. You could've pinched a nerve.

tingling contained by hands is referred to as parasthesia and in the paw the nerves supplying sensation are the median, ulnar, and radial nerves. I'm not sure where you have tingling but the median guts supplies most of the palm of the hand while the radial provides much of the back of the paw with the ulnar supplying the pinky and half of the ring finger. Inflammation of the underlying fascia within the hand can impinge upon these nerves causing inflammation so if your tingling is not gone already, rest and thieve ibuprofen and you should be okay. If not, please consult a physician as this may be indicative of a more serious neuropathy.
