Broad base disc protusion and disc bulge surrounded by lumbar region? please explain what my CT results have it in mind!?
At L4/5 there is a broad based disc protrusion which extends to both exit foramina & cause no signnificant mild foraminal narrowing. This indents the anterior aspect of the thecal sac & does contact the left L5 nerve as it leaves the thecal sac but no concrete compression.ALSO (a) L5/S1 there is a small broad disc bulge but no evidence of nerve compression.
CONCLUSION
broad base disc protrusion (a) L4/5 which does not cause any definite cheek compression.it does possibly contact the left S1 nerve as it leaves the thecal sac but no foraminal narrowing.
please explain this is run of the mill wording ! thanks.

Does InGrown Toenail Cause Fever?
In between each segment of your spine are "discs" that perform as cushions. Sometimes these discs bulge out of that spinal segment thereby touching or pressing on one or more of many nerves coming out of your spinal cord. Your spine is divided into the cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine and sacral spine. Therefore, you have a bulging disc between the 4th and 5th lumbar vertebrae that they own found doesn't cause any definite compression of any nerves, however, the disc may come into contact beside a nerve that is call S1, which is a spinal nerve that comes out of the 1st sacral vertebrae. Your S1 nerve is responsible for pushing your foot downward, so you could be have trouble doing this on the left and it is also responsible for sensation in the outside portion of your heel. It also say you have another disc bulging in between the 5th lumbar vertebrae and the 1st sacral vertebrae but they do not find that it is compressing any nerves.Attached to respectively spinal segment is called a foramen and they are on both sides of every vertebrae. They are just little holes surrounded by which your spinal nerves pass through. If there is narrowing, this will unquestionably press on the nerve and cause severe backache.
I don't know what the answer you were hoping to find with the ct scan, but its deeply telling you there is no physical rationale you should be having low back anguish. They may send you to physical therapy which can give a hand significantly if bulging discs are caught early enough as within your case.
this just meansthat the foramen magnum which is the huge opening in the bed of of the skullthru which the spinal cord passes is not narrow ,you only just might a disc prolapse
