Broken mitt myabe what do we do?
my brother thinks he broke his hand its swollen and kinda red and it hurts when he moves it.What do we do?!
Answer: Get some rime or something cold to stop the swelling but try not to get frost bite. Then go to the hospital or clinic. Don't call upon an ambulance though.
If the pain is unbearable, or your brother's foot looks like it is misshapen, take him to the ER. Otherwise, I would suggest RICE
Rest-obviously, try to avoid moving it around too much
Ice- depends on the injury, but i would try the rime and see if it helps
Compression- may not apply to your brother's injury, but mayb try ACE bandage after swelling have gone down slightly and it isn't as painful to touch
Elevation- try proping it on a pillow next to u or an armrest if sitting contained by a chair
My last suggestion is try to lug an anti-inflamitory such as Ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Alieve)
/if his hand is still bugging him after 48 hrs, schedule an appointment next to your doctor or, preferably, an orthopedic in your area
