No way. Your ear drum is about an inch surrounded by the ear canal, and your middle ear is behind that. Inner ear is after that. May result in some external irritation, but nothing else. If it were a q-tip or bobby pin or something else really small, I'd be worried.

Just know, if the ear drum be perforated, the kid would have scream. It's very painful and in attendance would have been some blood. So no worries, simply time for a less on how to play appropriately :)

No. A chubby pencil cannot end in inner ear damage. It can cause outer ear wounded, but you would have known that because the vandalize would have been humiliated for the child. Smaller objects can get into the ear canal and incentive damage there, but again i.e. painful. Long, small or sharp objects can cause middle ear injure, but that also is painful. It would take something similar to an inch and a half long needle to catch into the inner ear and obviously, that would be even more painful. So, zilch to worry about... this time.
