Can a Psoas abscess return?
A few months ago i had what they call a psoas abcsess surrounded by my side. I had to have sergery and enjoy it drained away. The last few days i have found a lump be the drain line had be and its very sore and red and ive got the distasteful pains shooting down my legs again. I know we are not all doctors on here but has anyone get any idea if this abscess could be coming back again. I hope not have i spent 2wks in hospital before. Do you muse i should go back to my doctors or could it a short time ago be scar tissue.
Answer: yes they can i had several abcess surrounded by my back and needed 3 surgeries to totally clear it : for now: i would phone you surgeon at your earliest convienince if nothing else have it evaluated

It could be blemish tissue but iftha is the case it should not be painful. Yes move about back your physician asap before this lump get any bigger.any abcess can return, in your place, I would be calling the surgeon that did the procedure.
