Can doctors report if you procure a prescription chock-full by another doctor?
I am seeing a pain doctor for fibromyalgia and degenerative disk disease. They made me sign saying I would not receive prescriptions filled by another doc. I dont have the stipulation to do this but I was just wondering if in that was a way for doctors to track your prescriptions bar insurance?

Is it okay to wear contact lenses more than 8 hours?
Yes they can trace them with the new DEA program that they, (the DEA ), and your doctor can well track your Rx's. But what you signed is probably a 'contract for narcotics'. If you are in California that is what it is call. It just puts the responsibility of taking the medication on you and not the doctor. It probably also said something about if you lose you meds they will not be replaced. It doesn't really enjoy anything to do with your insurance company. I have sign several of them for pain management doctors due to a spine injury. As long as you are not a doctor shopper or abuse them forget about it. It's just a operation some doctors do to protect themselves. Good luck. And here are a few links you might enjoy.http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/fibromy...

14 yr feeble son and final dull pain?
I would hope that the doctor ouoldn't find out unless you signed a release saying others (pharmacy, insurance) can give info to teh doc.I have a pain doc go ballistic when I sought treatment from a different features of specialist for a different condition and got a prescription (for somethign other that pain medicine) I hadn't signed any sort of agreement. The 2nd rx wasn't for a controlled aching medicine-it was for a neurological condition-
that doc just thought he be the god of pain medicine-and didn't want his patients to go to any doc for anything else-not even diabetes, asthma, blood pressure..he be probably the other docs would tell me that he was a horrible doc and his theories and treatments be dangerous...
The doctor won't but the pharmacy would as your insurance company would notify them of the time frame of prescription refills. And you may be arrested as it is a felony.
