Can I ask a own flesh and blood member's doctor not to prescribe narcotics?

I have a family appendage who has a history abusing distress medications and has in recent times recently detoxed. I would like to give the name his various doctor's and ask them not to prescribe these medications to him any longer. Can I do this? Will he return with in any trouble?

Answer:    If the patient is over 18; they cannot even give an account you that the person is a patient here due to HIPA regulations. You could send out letters beside the information and just have it from not a soul. That will get you farther b/c they will not know who it came from. Just state that they necessitate to note that the patient John Doe is a recovering agony medication abuser. .
Addicts do need others to help them or they Will most plausible end up dead 10-15 years from when they start to lift drugs.
Most people cannot quit on their own but need others to support them and facilitate them through the tough times.

and answering to your question, their doctor will more than likely enjoy knowledge of any drug abuse/use by his patient and doctors with the sole purpose normally prescribe pain bloodshed medicines if absolutely compulsory to the patients health.

It is also unlikely they will get hooked on aching killing drugs again after only taking them for somewhat while. .
Just notifying the doctors will help some what, but once you start asking question in regards to the kith and kin members health condition next thats when you violate HIPPA laws. You should probably mind your own business. Addicts don't need other ancestors "helping" them.
