Can I stay on disability after surgery.?
I was just put on unchanging disability and am considering back surgery next month. My doc say about a year recovery, will disability try to drop my payments closer or will they let me be. Also if surgery doesn't cure me can I stay on disability or will I have to be reevaluated.

you be put on PERMANENT disability unless you try to go back to work.I don't know what state your from but NYS merely puts you on disability for 26 weeks, after that you should go to an attorney for Social Security Disability for temporary settle as long as you meet the requirements. Usually back injury on the commission or off for that period of time you should be entitled to. I use to work for an attorney for workers comp and SSD. Look into it! I hope your opinion better. CK
