I have to go for a blood draw tomorrow for insurance purposes and I just started my period today. Does menstruation affect the results of blood tests conducted as part of routine physical check up?

Oh, and my periods also receive me pig out on pizza and brownies so my blood test tomorrow is going to make it look like I'm totally unwell even though I hit the gym three times last week, isnt it?
Answers:    You blood is renewed every 120 days, so unless you pig out on bad food for 120 days, it should not be a problem. As for being 'on' your time of year, this is old blood, so will not affect your blood tests. Best of Luck
