Can they fix bones a year next?

I got bit by an animal 3 weeks ago. Think I got a tiny fracture from it surrounded by my thumb from the pain, swelling, lack of motion, etc. No demonstrable deformity though. But right at the joint...
Can't shift to a doctor, doesn't matter why.
If it ends up healing feebly, can they go in and fix it a year or two down the chain? I've been assuming they can always re-break a bone. Have I be deluding myself?

Answer:    I recommend you consult with an orthopedic specialist right away. The thumb is the slowest recuperative body part in the entire body. This isn't something you want to keep on and let it heal incorrectly. It's also a difficult one to fix as very well..
It could have been knock out of place. Or just injured satisfactory without being broken to make available you some problems for a few weeks. You didn't mention which joint on the thumb. Since you said you couldn't see a doctor now yes they can re break bones and fix them. It is much easier to go and get it fixed and not wait until later. I know from experience that they to be sure can go in and repair (whether it be rebreaking or trying other options). Best of luck to you!
