Can't tumble asleep! Help?

I started working backshift about a month ago. The first few weeks I would get bad work around 9am and fall right asleep, and get up around 4 or 5pm. Now I can't give the impression of being to fall asleep after work.. I go to bed right after my shift at 8am and I don't stumble asleep until close to 11am.. Why is this? It is really stressing me out, espically thinking that if I don't get to sleep early than I will sleep my undamaged day away. What can I do to fall asleep really hasty? I heard about tylenol PM and using lavendar around my bedroom.. what else is nearby? I espically need to get within the habit of going right to sleep now and getting up precipitate for the summer because nobody wants to spend all summer asleep :P
