well coldsores come from equal virus as herpes me thinks. So once you have have one once the little virus remains dormant in your system .. you'll have it forever. Now they aren't other present but it is usually when you become run down or ill that they appear (at least thats when i receive them)There are some good creams out now though that quicken invigorating time :)
