Disclosing medication on drug interview paperwork: What would you do?
In September 2007 I went to the E.R. because I blew my eardrum. The doctor prescribed Hydromorphone, a pain slayer, and I took it for a few days then stopped when the pain be okay.
I've had a few pills left over since consequently, so yesterday (Wednesday) when I had a severe headache I was desperate and took them. I know I had a drug test on Friday but I didn't suppose those pills would matter because they were prescribed to me. My friend, who is a nurse, is unfolding me it will matter because I took them for something other than for what they be prescribed (headache rather than perforated eardrum) and that I should hold thrown them out.
I'm trying to decide if I should disclose on the test paperwork that I took those pills two days ago, or if I would be better bad hoping they just don't show up. The test is a urinalysis and it's for the administration. What would you do in this situation? I really want an outside opinion.
Answer:
I'm getting a cartilage peircing...?
I would definatley disclose the medication on the form they provide you to fill out. If you still have the bottle next to your name and drug type on it, keep it so if it does show up if here is any question you can prove you have a perscription for it. All they are going to ask is if you be perscribed the drug that shows up on the test. They don't care what you took it for, merely that the drug is legal and was perscribed to you. If you don't put it on at hand and it shows up, that is a bigger problem. And the chances of it showing up is giant. Pain Killers usually stay in your system for about a week.Does anyone enjoy a cohesive that they can crack continuously?
I would disclose the information. Simply state that you be prescribed the medication due to your perforated ear drum a while back. Explain that you have a severe headache (which could've been due to the ear drum problem) and so took a prescribed dose of the medication. So long as it's not an illegal drug and you took the prescribed dose in attendance should not be a problem if you disclose the info. It's when you don't disclose the info that there will be issues. You don't need to travel into major details on the drug test forms -- simply state that you sometimes use a prescribed medication for a perforate ear drum condition. That should be sufficient for a required explanation.I think you would be OK to update them about it. It is a pain medication, not a ruptured eardrum medication. If they ask give or take a few it just tell them you own chronic headaches. If it was prescribed to you surrounded by September 2007 and you still have some left over after obviously you aren't abusing them. They will also compare the amount found contained by your system to the amount you claim you took and if that pans out you shouldn't have to verbs as long as you took the prescribed amount.
If a creature have a Blood pressure of 150 over 110 wouldn't they enjoy a headache?
Since the opiods will show up in your urine test I would read aloud I had a script for painpills and I took them for a headache and leave your job it at that.Your friend is most likely correct: one shouldn't be taking pills wriiten for one ailment for a different one. However, I would bet most people dangle onto leftover painpills and use them just as you did.
Disclose the pills and be prepared to height with them if they ask a lot of question. You did have a legal scribble and did no harm.
I would disclose that you took the pill and just explain that they have been prescribed to you. I wouldn't give any extramural information unless they ask. Your better off just recounting the truth in case they do show up.
