I AM THINKING OF CHANGING MY MEDICINE FORM LEXEPRO TP WELLBUTRIN. I SUFFER WITH KIDNEY STONES AND HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL EVERYTIME I GET ONE. THE ALWAYS PUT PAIN MEDS IN A IV. CAN I STILL GET THAT KIND OF MEDS ON WELLBUTRIN?
Answers:    Yup. I took a ton of vicodin after oral surgeries, and the pharmacist said it was fine to take with my wellbutrin.

Edit: I simply read the answer below mine, and I wanted to say that my experience of wellbutrin vs. lexepro was exactly the conflicting. I gained over 30 pounds on lexepro (lost once I stopped taking it), and wellbutrin is a stimulant.

There's really no reason you can't. Lexapro and Wellbutrin have to do beside the Seratonin release in your brain. Pain meds are usually some form of anti-inflammatory. If you're gonna have to go to the hospital anyway, they're going to know what medication you're on before they prescribe a pain killer. But overall, you shouldn't hold any problems with pain medicine vs. Wellbutrin or Lexapro. Source(s): I appropriate Lexapro and have to take OTC Motrin for back problems.

Yes. Just be sure to consent to the Dr. know what meds you are on. The only side effect you may notice is an increase in drowsiness. I am surprised to hear you want to switch antidepressants, Lexapro is a tremendously good antidepressant, that's helpful with anxiety as resourcefully as depression. Wellbutrin is ok although it causes more sedation and weight gain.
